Course Overview
This AOTA approved continuing education class will provide clinicians with practical ways to deliver evidence-based therapy to help stroke survivors improve upper limb function. Current challenges with the delivery of stroke care will be discussed as well as the principles, evidence and application pertaining to neuroplasticity and motor relearning. Finally, the latest advances in paired vagus nerve stimulation will be reviewed as well as examples of purposeful and meaningful functional task-specific strategies combined with stimulation will be provided along with indications of use and patient selection.
The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .1 CEUs or 1 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.
